Having a destination wedding but worried about all that red tape?
Why not have a civil ceremony in Toronto before you fly off to the destination of your choice?
More and more couples are choosing to have their wedding celebration outside of Canada, but getting through all the legal steps can be daunting. A way a bypass all the headaches is to have a legal civil ceremony right here at home—something short and simple ensuring the legal paperwork is taken care of before you head off to your special destination. Often our clients won’t even mention this civil ceremony to their friends and family, leaving their destination ceremony as their true wedding.
File the paperwork here, get a ceremony there—it’s that simple.

New Trend: Destination Weddings

Recent Event: Richard and Patricia
Recent Event: Vanessa and Simon
A family home in Brighton at sunset - we couldn't have asked for a more unique and romantic location for Vanessa and Simon to exchange their vows. Surrounded by friends and family--some from as far away as Simon's native Australia -- this wedding in the woods was truly a magical night. Vanessa's creative side was in full view that night with hand made invitations, menu cards, seating charts, and signs strewn about the area. Not to be undone, Simon and his friends and family built the ceremony site - - benches and all! It was a truly happy occassion!
Thanks to Silvana from Impulse Photography for these beautiful shots from the day.

Recent Event: Cindy and Tate

The stunning distillery district was the backdrop for Cindy and Tate's romantic day.
This was a sweet, loving couple with a warm and embracing group of family and friends who were thrilled to be part of the wedding celebration.
Leopard print rugs on the floor and original artwork hung on the walls helped transform the open space of the Fermenting Cellar into a warm, inviting and romantic venue. The 300 candles lit around the room created an intimate feel for these two lovebirds. A special night for everyone!

Recent Event: Revlon Canada
The candles were lit, the jitterbug dancers were dressed, and the Revlon-tinis had been poured. It was time to get this party started! Held at The Carlu on December 8th, Revlon Canada's holiday party was a memorable evening for all. This years theme was the 1930s--and from the dinner tables named after 30s stars (I was at the Clark Table Table) to the energetic jitterbug dancers the 1930s were back in full swing that night!
Here are just a few images from this fantastic evening:
Tip: Signature Drinks
One of my favourite things to suggest to clients is to have a signature drink. At the recent Revlon Holiday Party, bright red Revlon-tinis flowed through the crowd. The best part is you can have both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions of your signature drink.Work with the colours of the party:Whether corporate or private, you can brand your event by choosing complimentary colours. You can also create a signature drink based on the theme of your party —why not a Maui-tini for your Hawaiian theme party; or a Cupid-tini for your Valentine's Day Dinner. The possibilities are only limited by your imagination!
Recent Event: Mars Canada
On November 19th, Events by Parris assisted employees from Mars Canada Inc. in celebrating another great year. Our theme was Latin Fever and we certainly raised the temperature in the venue that night! The Mariachi band started off the evening with their cocktail hour show--and then led the whole crowd (members of which were still dancing!) into the main space Salsa dancers twirled through the crowd; cozy lounges create the perfect spot for coworkers to mingle; and the DJ got everyone pumped up.
What a fantastic night... Ole!!
Recent Event: Yahoo! Canada
On November 1st, 2007 Events by Parris was happy to assist Yahoo! Canada with their annual Client Appreciation Night. Held at Atlantis, this year's theme was "You're the Star". From the papparazzi at the entrance, the Guitar Hero Video Gaming Room, to the magazine cover shoot inside--the guests were made to feel like the next Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie!!
Take a look!
