Erica’s 18th Celebration

Butterflies hung from every corner of 35 Elm Street on Saturday night celebrating Erica’s transition from 17 to 18 years old. Friends and family joined Erica in a celebration feast, followed by dancing and a whole lot of fun!

The Belly Dancer got everyone moving to her rhythm, while the Illusionist stunned everyone still with his amazing feats.

The ice louge, carved in the shape of a butterfly with non-alcoholic Erica-tinis swirling through it was a big hit with everyone.

Erica, a talented artist, adorned her guests’ tables with original photographic artwork. The candlelight reflecting off the artwork and florals helped create a classic, elegant soiree for this new adult.

The beautiful celebration lasted well into the night creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Happy 18th Erica!

Michelle and Ian

We were thrilled when one of our industry friends, lovely Michelle from Presidential Gourmet asked us to help her with her wedding to the handsome Ian.

This outdoor wedding and reception held in the gorgeous expanse of the Miller Lash House was classic and used the natural attributes of the venue to full advantage. Under a branch-entwined trellis, Michelle and Ian exchanged vows. The guests were treated to a joke when Michelle brought out a small step-ladder to help equalize the height between her and her tall new husband!

A cocktail reception was held on the front lawn, followed by a reception underneath the white tent. Lounges and a plethora of candles were set up to invoke a relaxed and fun atmosphere, and guests ate from the variety of delicious food stations provide by Presidential Gourmet. A personal favourite—the Candy Station full of twizzlers, jelly beans, and any other confectional delight you can think of.

This fun loving pair was quick to kick off the dancing and was soon joined by their happy friends and family. From the invitations to the guests’ gift bags, this couple was intent on making their event personalized and memorable. Mission Accomplished!

Melanie and Aaron

There’s no place like home! This lovely California-based couple could not forget their Canadian roots when it came time for exchanging their I Dos. Choosing the Boulevard Yacht Club as the venue for both their ceremony and reception, the couple and their friends and family basked in a stunning view of Lake Ontario.

Picking ‘Fall Harvest’ as their wedding theme, Melanie and Aaron got married surrounded by the beautiful fall florals and foliage. The bride even walked down a path strewn with bright orange and red maple leaves.

Guests were ushered to their tables elaborately decorated with pumpkins indicating table numbers, candles, maple leaves and lanterns. Beautiful fall foliage decorated the entire room and gave a soft fall glow to the room.

This engaging couple couldn’t wait to get the dancing started—and were on the dance floor all night amongst the Canadian leaves.

Paulette and Odi

The stunning traditional Nigerian wedding-wear the groom’s family wore was only one part of this extraordinary event. Love was shinning from all sides on this wedding day. The striking couple-Paulette and Odi-were bursting with happiness as they said their vows in a beautiful stain glass-windowed Church in Mississauga. After an emotional ceremony the bride and groom and their 200 guests made their way to the gorgeous Lionhead Golf and Country Club to hit a hole in one with a scrumptious dinner menu filled with traditional Nigerian, Jamaican and Portuguese cuisine.

The reception was filled with many wonderful moments including the breaking of the traditional Kola nut by the Nigerian elder; the delicious Portuguese seafood table; and the heartfelt speeches by friends, family and by the couple themselves. The party really got started when Paulette, Odi, their wedding party and Odi’s family all changed into traditional Nigerian outfits and danced through the reception hall. The drumbeat got everybody’s toes tapping. This was night filled with joy and the perfect mingling of cultures. The dancing went on to the early hours of the morning—and beyond.

Simone and Dave

Transforming the beautiful Rosehill Venue Lounge into a wedding ceremony and reception space took some time, some fabric, some rentals, some candles and a lot of florals! Simone and Dave were thrilled with their warm and inviting wedding space. The ceremony space was glittering with candles and flower petals. Simone, in a stunning strapless gown, walked down the aisle towards her lucky Dave. She walked past her happy friends and family sitting in their customized chocolate brown chairs. The beautiful taupe satin table covers helped accentuate the striking floral arrangements that had small lanterns hanging off the branches. The accents of yellow throughout the room gave the entire space a warm glow.

After the ceremony, guests were treated to a cocktail reception soon followed by the main repast. After feasting on a delicious four-course meal, the couple took to the dance floor and was soon joined by their loved ones. All present remarked on the bliss of the event—and the pure joy of the couple.

Theresa and Andreas

On a beautiful Saturday, at the beautiful Grand Victorian estate in the picturesque Niagara Wine region, Theresa and Andreas exchanged hand-written vows under a floral-drenched veranda.

The Evening in Paris themed event brought out many friends and family—some coming from as far away as Germany. Post-ceremony cocktails were served under a chandelier-lit tent, as a jazz duo serenaded the guests with an American songbook of classics. After a classic French dinner, the couple impressed kicking off the dancing by performing a choreographed piece. The close-knit group of friends that made up the wedding party delighted all with their enthusiastic dancing all night. As the moon rose over the vineyard you couldn’t help but think ‘Vive la romance!’

Jennifer and Mike

Overlooking the Toronto Skyline, Jennifer and Mike’s ceremony and reception at the St. Andrew’s Club was filled with love and laughter. This sweet couple said I Do while surrounded by breathtaking floral arrangements with hanging lanterns. While the string quartet played a classical medley a radiant Jennifer walked down the aisle towards a beaming Mike. Post-ceremony happy guests mingled over cocktails and hors d’Oeuvres in the main lobby overlooking the intersection of University and King Streets. A specially crafted menu by St. Andrews’ followed—with the only complaint being that after a meal so good dancing may be a challenge! But most overcame this concern and danced the night away while candles flickered. The couple chose to surprise their guests with a late night ice cream cake bar. A huge hit and one that re-energized the group to keep dancing on! They even managed to do the impossible—getting the wedding planners Katherine and Lena to dance!
